Ofc. Hamilton and K-9 “Quwai”

Officer Hamilton has been with the Glendale Police Department for 8 years. Officer Hamilton met his new partner K-9 "Quwai vom Mahner Berg" in April of 2006 while attending the Inglis Police Dog Academy in Ventura, California. K-9 "Quwai" is a male German Sheppard born on June-16-2003 in Germany. Quwai currently weighs 87 lbs. and is certified in narcotics detection and suspect apprehension. Quwai was taught basic obedience commands in German prior to his arrival in the United Sates. One felony suspect scaled a building and began jumping roof top to roof top in order to avoid meeting K-9 Quwai up close and personnel. K-9 Quwai is also trained to locate evidence and hard surface tracking. Quwai enjoys tug of war games, hotdogs, cookies, soda, and anything to do with getting into the police car and going to work. K-9 Quwai is very social and is known to crave attention from his fellow officers during line-up briefings. K-9 Quwai would like to remind you...You can run but you can't hide!
